We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for collaborative mission across the world combined with the proven ability to manage relationships, lead staff and deliver change.

The Global Relationships or World Church team within the Methodist Church of Britain is responsible for our partnership with some 60 Methodist Churches around the world and other related organisations. We sustain multiple programmes of work including the making of grants
to support and resource our partners, training and capacity development, and several streams of People-to-People (P2P) programmes for the exchange of mission personnel and other visits.

The Director will oversee and develop the Methodist Church’s vision and strategy for global relationships, share in God’s mission by managing our international programmes and lead the work of the World Church Relationships team as it continues to evolve.

The right candidate will have a qualification in a relevant field of study, such as mission studies, and substantial experience of work overseas, possibly as a mission partner. You will be an outstanding communicator and relationship builder, with a proven track record in leading staff,
implementing change and thinking strategically. This position has a Genuine Occupational Requirement that you should also be a member of a Methodist Church (defined as one that is a
member of the World Methodist Council).
